At the Mountains of Madness is an indie first-person horror adventure game with survival elements in which you play the role of Professor Dyer, a geologist at Miskatonic University who travelled to Antarctica in 1930 as the leader of a research expedition, in this 3D first-person horror survival adventure game. But in Antarctica disaster always lurks adventurers like a shadow. And in the most cold and desolate place on earth it is easy to find death or worse, you can find the Mountains of Madness…
“I am forced into speech because men of science have refused to follow my advice without knowing why.” H.P. Lovecraft
Please don’t fuck up the Lovecraftian elements like many other developers before you. I just hope you know what you are doing. Study Bloodborne’s story they have done it partially right.

Thanks for the comment! We do not intend to just use lovecraftian elements but showing our own interpretation from Lovecraft’s story and translate it into a videogame, it can sound a bit humble but yeah its a hard task indeed 🙂

Keep it to the story, make it a horror, not a fps… try to express Lovecrafts madness into the game… make people scared in their soul… and one more thing, the most important one…. don`t fuck it up please 😉

We will try our best 🙂 the game does have FPS elements but in essence is an horror/adventure game with some survival elements. Hope you like it!

Correct me if i am wrong, but Cthulhu has never apeared in that story. Anyway, As an fanatic fan i am really excited for H.P.L. based game that comes alive, as there were so many prommising Lovecraftian projects that never happened. It seems to be Cthulhu Curse upon it 🙂

Thanks for the comment! sorry Yamibito but i must correct you 🙂 Cthulhu does mention briefly on that story; same as the Star Spawns, Mi-Go etc. We thought to put the player in a realtime “flashback” to explain the part of the story where the wall carvings show the war between the Elder Things and the Cthulhu’s, this had been already discussed at our youtube comments ^^ hope you like the idea and the final result, best regards!

I’ve been watching this preview over and over the past few days. Im eager to see more lol. I’ve read the book many times over as well, so I love that insanity is playing a role and i noticed the flashback to the dinosaurs (very good touch). Based on the comment above, I was thinking the Cthulu shot was Danforth’s vision when he went crazy at the end, guess we’ll find out. Either way, im so excited for this and you guys seem to be doing it justice. i have faith! For the house at R’lyeh!

So now I have two new Lovecraft games to look forward to! This is looking great so far, but my only issue is I most likely won’t be able to play it on my current computer. Is it possible that you could get the game on PS4/Xbox One as well, so people with weaker operating systems can play it on their consoles? Anyways, I really cannot wait for this game to com out and I wish you luck on bringing the story into video game form!
